Devils Report

The Comets travelled to Edinburgh to take on the Devils looking to avenge their defeat in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. The Comets have impressed so far this term as have the undefeated Devils, so this had all the makings of a classic.

Hsin Yen had kept the Comets quiet in the first meeting so it was no surpise to see him given the ball for this one. However, the Comets jumped all over him in the first inning with some solid hits and well placed grounders putting three runs on the board in the first inning.

Fortunately the rain stayed off for the whole of this game but overnight condition would make the ground wet and difficult for players to throw fielded balls. The first inning was runless from both teams with tight defenses - and excellent pitching from Hsinyen Lao of the Devils who would total up 10 strikeouts today.
